Left-handed spoon carving template
An everyday eating spoon for left-handers. The tip sits to one side and the slanted lip faces your mouth when you hold the spoon in your left hand, with a slim, slightly waisted handle that leans gently away from the bowl.
The PDFs print dark lines on white paper: the A4 one in millimetres, the US Letter one in inches. Open the design in the designer to change the size or shape first. The downloaded SVG opens again in the designer with Open.

It fits at full size on both A4 and US Letter. Print at 100% scale with no margins, then check the scale bar on the sheet with a ruler.
Carving tips
Left-handers rarely get a spoon made for them, so this one makes a thoughtful gift. Check that the top view is face up when you trace it, as a flipped template gives a right-handed spoon. Carve the slanted lip thin, so it feels good against your mouth.
Cut out the top view and trace it on the blank with the grain running along the spoon, as the grain arrow shows. Saw the outline, then draw the side view on the side of the blank for the depth and crank, and carve away everything outside the lines. Read more in How it works.
