Asymmetric coffee spoon carving template
A small coffee or tea spoon with its tip to one side, a slim neck and a short, flat handle with an angled end. It's a small piece with plenty of character. This version is for right-handed use.
The PDFs print dark lines on white paper: the A4 one in millimetres, the US Letter one in inches. Open the design in the designer to change the size or shape first. The downloaded SVG opens again in the designer with Open.

Carving tips
A good way to try an asymmetric bowl without much wood: it comes out of an offcut in an evening. Because the spoon is so small, keep your cuts light around the neck. The angled handle end looks best left crisp from the knife.
Cut out the top view and trace it on the blank with the grain running along the spoon, as the grain arrow shows. Saw the outline, then draw the side view on the side of the blank for the depth and crank, and carve away everything outside the lines. Read more in How it works.
