Faceted spoon carving template
An eating spoon with a faceted, knife-finished handle: flat planes instead of round curves, as you'd leave them straight from a sharp knife. The template marks the facet lines.
The “Whittler's Facets” template on A4, at full size: top view, side view, grain direction and a scale check to measure after printing.
Open it in the designer to change the size or shape, switch to inches or US Letter, and print it or save it as a PDF. The downloaded SVG opens again in the designer with Open.

Carving tips
Facets show every knife cut, so it's a good exercise in clean, confident strokes. Keep your knife sharp and make each facet in one long cut, without sanding afterwards.
Cut out the top view and trace it on the blank with the grain running along the spoon, as the grain arrow shows. Saw the outline, then draw the side view on the side of the blank for the depth and crank, and carve away everything outside the lines. Read more in How it works.
